Prof. Kithure Kindiki is the Cabinet Secretary for the Interior and National Administration. He was appointed Cabinet Secretary by President William Samoei Ruto on September 27, 2022. Prior to the current appointment, Prof. Kindiki served as Tharaka Nithi Senator for two terms from 2013 to 2022 and was the pioneer Senate Majority Leader from 2013 to 2017, and Deputy Speaker of the Senate from 2013 to 2020. 

Prof. Kindiki is a legal scholar of international repute. He holds a Ph.D in International Law from the University of Pretoria.
