Christine A. Obondi (Mrs.), PhD, OGW is the Secretary, The Probation and Aftercare Service. Dr. Obondi has served in different ranks in Probation and Aftercare Service for the last 33 years. Before this confirmation, Dr. Obondi served as Director, Probation and Aftercare Service. 

She received her PhD in Project Planning and Management from The University of Nairobi, Kenya. As a seasoned officer, she is recognized in spearheading the adoption of evidence-based practice in the design and implementation of community correctional programmes, monitoring and evaluation framework, and curriculum development as well as a trainer in programme delivery. A firm believer in cultivating people hence the slogan “Strengthening Professionalism Leaving No One Behind”.

She is a co-author of articles on the design of correctional programmes with an interest on sexual offenders, special needs offenders, victims of offenses, and resettlement of offenders. She is a member of the Kenya Association of Project Managers (KAPM) and a member of the International Society of Project Monitoring and Evaluation (IProMES).
