A carpentry tool kit is handed over to an offender during the Mariakani Case Committee. Offenders who live penal institutions most times come from poor economic backgrounds and do not have capital to put the skills or trades learnt in the institutions. Probation and Aftercare Service provides tool kits such as these to help them start off a new life in order to keep away from crime.

The Kiambu Community Service Orders (CSO) Committee on 5th May 2014 launched the Keep Kiambu County Clean Project in Kiambu town. The clean up exercise attracted various stakeholders including the National Police Service and the Kiambu County Leadership among many members of the public. The campaign saw the clean up of the market place, drainage systems, dumping sites and the Highways. Government Officials together with offenders on CSO participated in the exercise which is scheduled to take place every 1st Monday of subsequent months.

The programme was launched by the County Water and Environment Secretary Esther Njuguna, Chief Magistrate Mr. John Onyiego and the National Community Service Orders Coordinator Mr. Atiang Mutullah.
